Some foxing and occasional browning (including to Pacific, North Sea, Achaea, and Attica maps), crease near centerfold to Antarctic map, 2 marginal tears, lacking maps of Ceylon, Bengal and Jan Mayen Island, vellum well-worn at edges and becoming detached at text block.
FIRST FRENCH-LANGUAGE EDITION OF THE FIRST REAL SEA ATLAS. Of the 23 charts issued in the first section, 21 were published for the first time. The second section is the "Atlas Antiquus" with 10 maps of the ancient world, including 8 new maps of areas of Greece by Johannes Laurenberg. Koeman Me 171.
