Together with Letter Signed of General Drouet ("Comte D'Erlon"), 1 p, folio, Valladolid, July 21, 1811, to Berthier, containing the original request for Girard's convalescence, with very fine wax seal of the Republic, uniformly framed with first document.

An interesting correspondence pertaining to General Jean-Baptiste Girard, whose incompetence during the Peninsular War a few months later would lead to his dismissal by Napoleon.
