  • Charles Mellier & Co was among the most highly distinguished firms of cabinet makers and interior designers in late 19th century Britain. Mellier began his career in the Anglo-French award-winning firm of Georges-Alphonse Monbro, eventually acquiring the firm in 1868. Mellier worked in conjunction with interior designers, and furnished many prestigious addresses, such as 45, 14 and 27 Grosvenor Square in London, and Farmleigh House and Estate in Dublin. Mellier and Co also exhibited at the 1904 St. Louis International Exposition.
