A magnificent George III faded mahogany 12-tune musical turntable clock

The case with inverted bell top flanked by gilt finials over arched cornice with scroll pierced frets, glazed doors to the sides, foliate scroll gilt corner mounts, all on molded plinth with gilt skirt raised on scroll feet, the dial with silvered tune selection in the arch over silvered chime / not chime and strike / not strike rings, gilt scroll spandrels and silvered roman and Arabic chapter ring enclosing the matted center, the substantial triple fusee movement with 10 pillars, verge escapement with knife edge suspension to pendulum, striking the hours on bell and playing one of 12 tunes on 13 bells by means of 13 hammers and pinned barrel mounted parallel to the back plate engraved with foliate scrolls and chinoiseries 37 in. (93 cm) high
