The iron posted frame surmounted by bell and four finials to the corners over hinged gilt side panels engraved with scrolls on striated ground, similarly engraved gilt dial plate with molded bezel, silvered roman chapter ring enclosing central alarm disc, arrow hand, restored brass balance wheel and verge escapement, striking the hour with a vertically pivoted hammer by means of a six hour count wheel, separately wound alarm train accompanied by later wall bracket. 7 ¼ in.
