"Rain-In-The-Face," titled below image, with imprint for photographer's West Superior, WI studio below image and verso, "'Rain in the face' trades with us at Standing Rock He and Scout 'Curley' the only survivor from the Custer fight will be in charge of the Sitting Bull Cabin which will be on exhibition in the 'Wild West' show the cabin belongs to us and we have formed a Stock Company and will keep it in Chicago during the Fair. 'Rain in the face' is the one supposed to have cut out Genl Custers heart." inscribed in period ink on the back.
