A pair of small Satsuma vases
Meiji period (late 19th century)
The small bulbous vases each set on tripod shishi feet and decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt over a clear crackled glaze with fan and floral-shaped reserves of scenes of figures in landscapes, the surrounding areas decorated further with shaped designs of raised patterns in gilt, the neck with key fret bands
