The elaborate head cast in bronze and gilded and decorated with various symbolic elements of esoteric Buddhism including a central stupa flanked by ritual water pitchers, smaller reliquaries on floating clouds and a sacred jewel, the base formed with conjoined lotus bands, the head fitted with four ring lobed jangles, set on a later hardwood handle decorated with inlaid mother-of-pearl; fitted wood stand
