A two-panel ivory table screen

Each panel with a rectangular plaque within a reticulated foliate-patterned border, the left plaque finely carved in relief with various personages in exotic costumes bowing in devotion to Kannon accompanied by two attendants with offerings portrayed on the opposite side, the reverse with domestic vignettes, one featuring the worship of Kannon and signed Asahi[do] above a seal reading Asashi, all above shaped reserves featuring pairs of rakan (Buddhist holy men) to either side and set within a pierced floral border, with etched silver mounts
