Designed in gold, silver and iro-e hiramakie and takamakie on a kinji ground with a spray of leafy bamboo framing a cockerel and chick, reversed by a nesting hen, the interiors nashiji, signed Itsugawa and with a red kao; fitted with a gilt lacquer bead ojime decorated with fruiting gourd vines
