1921-D 50C MS64 PCGS
Mottled charcoal, brown, and gray toning on both sides lends a fully original appearance overall. Mostly well struck with Liberty showing nearly full definition over her right (facing) hand and thumb. Minimal shallow scuffs are well concealed beneath the toning. Here is a truly impressive near-Gem quality example of this important key date Walking Liberty half dollar issue. The 1921-D has long been known as a rarity in Mint State, and at the Choice grade level, examples are seldom obtainable. There is a legion of collectors specializing in this series, and the finest obtainable examples are eagerly sought. The coin offered here certainly stands as one of the best. (PCGS 6584)
