A silver and iron koboshi kabuto
Mid-late Edo period
Constructed of twenty-six plates, four of which are covered with a silver plate chased with a dense pattern of chrysanthemum and secured by gilt copper ornaments, the remaining with projecting rivets punctuated by shiten-no-byo and hibiki-no-ana, a three-stage gilt-copper tehen kanamono to top, the bowl fitted with a three-lame lacquered-iron shikoro with gilt-accented fukigaeshi centered by gilt-copper mon with a manji character (wear).
