A pair of patinated bronze and champlevé vases
Each of high-shouldered ovoid form tapering to a flared base and with two large recessed figural panels, one cast in relief with a rakan and attendant, the other depicting Kannon standing above a young acolyte, each in a landscape setting with the figures picked out in gilt, the surrounding enamel decoration of multicolored leafy floral sprays on a turquoise ground, the base with a cartouch reading Ishikawa Nobukiyo kore [o] tsukuru.
