A parcel gilt bronze covered ewer
17th/18th century
With elegant attenuated curves to the waisted neck, curving spout and handle terminating as a ruyi scepter head, the globular body cast with shaped reserves of birds on flowering branches in low relief and surrounded by delicately chased flowers and leaves that also appear on the tall foot and neck, the stepped cover a possibly a replacement (handle repaired, wear to gilding).
