Two red Peking glass decorations
Qianlong marks, Republic period
The first a box and cover of compressed globular form imitating carved cinnabar lacquer with a shou medallion and five bats across the cover on a diapered ground that also appears around the auspicious fruits along the walls of the box with a low foot surrounding the recessed base bearing a four-character mark within a double square; the second a bottle with waisted circular neck and body of hexagonal section, the faceted walls displaying flowering plants and the recessed base within the foot pad bearing the four-character mark incised in regular script.
