A pair of embroidered silk fragments from a dragon robe

Preserving part of the lower left and right sides to include rampant dragons, ribboned Daoist symbols and peony flower heads worked in couched gilt threads while the surrounding clouds, swirling waves and the lishui border are defined in white and polychrome threads on the pale brown ground (fading); each now framed and glazed.
