A gilt copper alloy figure of the Shakyamuni Buddha
Supported by a waisted lotus petal plinth, the historical Buddha seated in dhyanasana and holding his right hand in bhumisparsamudra of 'Earth Witness' while his left is held in dhyanamudra, attired in monastic robes tied and pinned at his left shoulder, the unusually circular face of downcast expression framed by pendulous earlobes and a high ushnisha of small dense curls (small drill hole to front of plinth).
