A massive cast iron temple bell
Six massive ruggedly-cast arms suspending a bell of standard shape, the sides cast with four large square cartouches separated by four different four-character sayings of Daoist and Buddhist subject matter, two cartouches unadorned, one cartouche bearing the date of the original casting as the ninth month of the ninth year of the Daoguang reign (1839), the other describing the locations of both the originals and the later recasting, the base cast with a band of yijing trigrams.
