A pair of cloisonné enameled elephants and vases, taiping you xiang

The elaborately caparisoned pachyderms of white enamel skin with wrinkles comprised of gilt cloison whorl, portrayed standing square on four thick legs, their gilt tails slightly tensed and their crescent shaped-eyes and small veined ears cocked slightly to one side above trunks curled between two gilt tusks; their thick backs supporting a large elaborate saddle carpet adorned in auspicious emblems of chimes (qing) and ribbons above crashing waves from which hang suspended from either side separately-pieced rectangular sections of stylized tassels on a blue ground, all below raised saddles of vine and lotus patterns on a red ground supporting intricately cast double gourd vases covered in intricately rendered further vines and lotus and adorned by stylized flared ribbons to either side (repairs, pieced sections reattached); together with a pair of reticulated wood display stands.
