A hardwood four-drawer desk
Late Qing/Republic period
Constructed with a single-ection floating panel to the top, carefully beaded edges to the rectangular case and the four legs terminating in horse-hoof feet, the front articulated with a pair of two smaller drawers separating a larger drawer at each end, all with brass bail handles set on chased back plates shaped as butterflies (staining, shrinkage at joints).
