Two jade snuff bottles
The first, 1820-1880, a nephrite pebble of irregular ovoid form with a small circular drill hole to the top, extensive remains of its russet-colored skin surrounding a pale yellow green patch and the surfaces polished to a soft luster; the second a mottled green and brown jadeite bottle of flattened oval form with a wide, flat rim to the cylindrical neck and a carefully cut oval foot ring, the side with rich russet markings carved as a goldfish swimming amid water weeds that continue onto the reverse (tiny chips to foot).
2 1/4 and 2 3/8in (5.8 and 6cm) high
