A group of four overlay glass snuff bottles
The first, 1790-1850 of red over clear glass with a cylindrical neck, the red and clear layers forming an oval foot and the sun, cranes and waves carved on both sides of the flattened globular body (chipped); the second, 1800-1900, of blue-green over snowflake glass with cylindrical neck, the green overlay forming the oval foot and a design of crabs and water grasses on opposing walls of the flattened pear-form body (chipped, lacking stopper); the third, 1800-1880 of four-color overlay on clear amber glass carved with U-form handles, flowers and butterflies on the body of flattened hu form supported on an oval foot; the fourth, modern, a pink overlay clear glass bottle of rounded rectangular form with cylindrical neck and oval foot (lacking stopper).
