A group of seven inside-painted snuff bottles
The first of glass with square neck, a body of faceted rectangular shape with conforming flat base, painted with opposing landscapes, one bearing the the cyclical date jia-yin year corresponding to 1914 (chip); the second of glass in a rounded rectangular form with a cylindrical neck and oval foot rim painted with opposing birds and rocks, one side bearing the cyclical date ren-chen corresponding to 1892 and the signature Zhou Leyuan; the third in rock crystal of flattened pear form with circular neck and concave oval base painted with flowers and birds, also bearing the cyclical date ren-chen corresponding to 1892 and the signature Zhou Leyuan; the fourth of glass, in a flattened rectangular form with cylindrical neck, rounded shoulder and oval foot ring, painted with a continuous landscape, also bearing the cyclical date ren-chen corresponding to 1892 and the signature Zhou Leyuan (interior discolored); the fifth of glass and similar rounded rectangular form with cylindrical neck and oval foot, painted with opposing river landscapes with inscriptions, one bearing the cyclical date xin-si corresponding to 1941 and signature Xue Shaopu (foot polished down); the sixth of flattened ovoid form with cylindrical neck and oval foot, the glass interior painted with opposing flower and bird themes and bearing the cyclical date wu-zi corresponding to 1948; the seventh of flattened globular form with cylindrical neck and oval base painted with a scholar on his donkey reversed by flowering branches (extensive wear).
