A large polychrome enameled porcelain charger with figural decoration
Guangxu mark, Late Qing/Republic period
The wide shallow walls encircling the central well, here potted with a concave impression surrounded by a slight ridge, the interior of the dish covered in a detailed and colorful scene of beauties in a lush domestic setting, the exterior walls covered in four seasonal floral sprigs above a raised foot rim surrounding the base bearing the four-character mark unusually painted in blue on a small circle of slightly over-fired white enamel.
