A pair of Dehua porcelain flowering trees in Canton enameled metal planters
Late Qing dynasty
Each planter of quatrelobed shape with a classic lotus flower and leaf scroll pattern painted in rich enamels against a turquoise ground, the exposed metal edges finished in gilt and white enamel applied across the recessed base; the flowering prunus tree of porcelain anchored into each pot and surrounded by tiny seeds or pellets combined within a layer of red lacquer.
