Potted with wide shoulders and attenuated waists above flared feet supported by slightly inset unglazed foot rims encircling recessed bases bearing a double ring, the sides covered in continuous figural tableaux of '100 boys at play' in garden settings rendered in underglaze cobalt of deeply gradated hue, with associated porcelain lids from the same period and adorned with the same subject matter (one jar and both lids extensively restored, one jar with hairline crack).
