First edition, second issue of the first comprehensive grammar of the Hawaiian language, partially funded by the Hawaiian government. Honolulu bookseller Thomas G. Thrum found a number of remainder copies of the grammar in about 1890 and reissued them adding a new title with his name at the foot. Forbes 1974.
