shaped oval, the cover centred by an oval portrait miniature depicting Grand Duke Michael Pavlovich in uniform with red facings and gold epaulettes, decorated with the Imperial Order of Saint Andrew within a gold mounted diamond-set bezel further enriched with quatre-couleur floral motifs, the narrow gold mounts of the box engraved with stylised acanthus
