the baluster body with moulded rows of swags on top and alternating vertical bands on the bottom separated with wide horizontal band applied with elaborate silver decoration including dolphins and acanthus swags, neck enclosed in neo-baroque silver mount with shells, mascaron and beautifully cast and chased rocaille motifs, hinged lid with vertical leaf-shaped thumbpiece, circular handle originates from the top of mascaron and terminates with a lion's paw, spreading foot decorated with four lion's paws and rocaille designs, 88 standard
height: 29cm (11 3/8in).
