A late 19th/early 20th century Austrian silver-gilt and 'lustre' enamelled cup and cover
Maker's mark M & N within a cartouche, Vienna
The circular cover with garnet-set stylised fruit finial on a filigree collar with green enamelled leaves on a yellow/green and blue dappled enamel ground, the rim of the compressed spherical body set with alternating cabochon emeralds and pink lilies above a filigree mount heightened in pink tulips and gem-set carnations with swirling green foliage all on a similar 'lustre' enamel, the stem with gilt collars applied with wirework and gem set enamell flowers, the onion-domed base with applied enamel carnations and fleur del lys filigree mounts, height 36cm, diameter 20cm.
