A George III silver tea kettle

Compressed circular form, the swing handle with female term, the flush fitting cover with fruiting foliate finial handle, the body intensely chased and embossed with rocaille scrolls and flowers, the scroll and spume framed reserves later engraved with heraldic shields, the cast eagle's head spout hung with flowers, the stand with pierced floral and scroll undulating apron on three dog's head-capped legs raised on elaborated claw feet, with burner, height 34cm, weight 104oz.
