A George III mahogany kneehole desk/dressing table
in the manner of Thomas Chippendale
The rectangular moulded edge top above a blind fret carved frieze drawer enclosing a fitted interior with a ratcheted dressing mirror flanked by various compartments and two large sliding baize topped compartments enclosing further divisions, above a central kneehole with a cupboard door to the rear enclosing a shelf, flanked by three graduated drawers to either side, on bracket feet and later concealed castors, the underside with a red wash and laminated block feet, 172cm wide, 59.5cm deep, 79cm high (67.5" wide, 23" deep, 31" high).
