A pair of Victorian satinwood and gilt bronze mounted open library bookcases
in the manner of Gillows
The rectangular tops with projecting front angles above beaded panel friezes rosette decorated friezes, each with a central division flanked by three adjustable shelves and further beaded uprights surmounted by trailing floral and foliate mounts and applied with bronze letters ranging from 'I' to 'L' , on moulded plinths, with fragments of the original leather gilt tooled dust frills, presumably originally part of a larger suite of library bookcases, 213cm wide, 38.5cm deep, 147.8cm high (83.5" wide, 15" deep, 58" high). (One bookcase very slightly shorter at 147.4cm high). (2)
