The undulating cresting with central draped and tasselled lambrequin headed by a leaf cresting flanked by paired eagles heads, patarae and cornucopiae above a rectangular bevelled plate within a strapwork carved frame on a punched and sanded ground, with scrolling shaped apron below with gilt brass candle arm sockets, 111cm high, 64cm wide, (43.5" high, 25" wide).

Elements of the present mirror such as the plume and the eagle heads to the cresting are paralleled on a pier glass supplied by John Belchier (d. 1753) to John Meller in 1726 for Erddig Park, Denbighshire, Wales at a cost of £50 (see R. Edwards and M. Jourdain, Georgian Cabinet-Makers, rev. ed., London 1946, p. 99, fit. 33 where they are erroneously attributed to Moore and Gumley).
