The chairs with carved curved shaped splats, the top rails centred with a turned brass handle on saddle shaped seats and moulded outswept legs, together with a matching Regency mahogany three seat hall bench, five of the six chairs marked on the underside with initials 'IM', the bench inscribed 'AN INCENDIARY BOMB FELL ON THIS SEAT ON THE NIGHT OF XXIX VI MCMXLII PETERBOROUGH', the bench 132cm wide, (51.5" wide).
