A George III mahogany sycamore and engraved gentleman's dressing table
The rectangular hinged top with a wide banding of flora and foliage enclosing a fitted interior with a later ratcheted mirror and a compartmentalised interior with various lidded compartments, apertures and divisions, above a brushing slide and a long drawer on square section tapering legs, brass cappings and castors, with an early 20th century ivorine label to the underside for 'J.GILBEART MRSI (J.GILBEART LTD) UPHOLSTERER, DECORATOR, 11/12 LITTLE CHESTER STREET, BELGRAVE SQ, SW', and with a printed depository label to the underside for 'Moussell Brothers (Exeter) Ltd' and inscribed by hand, 'Camfield', numbered '351', the mirror and ratchet fitting of later date, 63.5cm wide, 52cm deep, 87cm high (25" wide, 20" deep, 34" high).
