A George III style Adam Revival carved mahogany and sycamore marquetry open armchair
Upholstered in blue velvet stripe, the oval padded back within a moulded and leaf carved frame surmounted by a leaf and paterae inlaid cresting, the back on sphinx and bellflower chain and paterae supports with outswept padded and acanthus carved arms and seat, with an anthemion and stiff leaf carved seatrail on leaf carved turned tapering fluted legs and spool feet, late 19th/early 20th century.
