Guangxu six-character mark and of the period
Boldly painted on the body in deep underglaze blue of indigo tone with a blossoming foliate scroll issuing six larger evenly-spaced blossoms above stiff lappets and classic scroll on the foot, the shoulder with pendent ruyi-head and a floral scroll, the flaring neck with long stiff lappets pointing upwards towards the ruyi heads below waves at the rim. 38.7cm (15¼in) high
