Finely enamelled in blue, coral-red and sepia with an arhat subduing a dragon into his alms bowl, inscribed and sealed at the top left. 38.5cm x 25.1cm (15in x 9½in)

    款識: 盜法金龍奮發威,動山震岳枝(樹)高飛。皈依三寶神通後,經缽連身不敢違。辛未(1931)秋月,略師癭飄之法,西昌陶迷散人王琦於珠山客次。

    The poem may be translated as:

    The Bandit Fa Jinlong roused his power,
    Moving mountains and shaking hills, trees flew high.
    After converting to Buddhism and accepting the magic power of the three jewels,
    He never dared part from his sutras and alms bowl.
    In autumn in xinwei year, in the style of Yingpiao, (by) Taomi sanren, Wangqi, of Xichang, being a guest at Zhushan.
