The porcelain delicately painted in shades of blue, green and beige with highlights of pink and dusky orange with a scene of a lone traveller supported on his staff walking through a path between a lake with three fishermen in a boat and a high mountain with a small pavilion hidden amongst rich foliage. 19.8cm x 12.8cm (7¾in x 5in)

    The composition, palette and brushwork of the painting suggests an attribution to Wang Yeting, one of the most famous of the 'Eight Friends of Zhushan'. Compare another plaque from the Anthony Evans Collection signed and sealed Wang Yeting sold in these rooms, 10 November 2011, lot 596.
