Of wide form, bearing a rich vermilion ground with a fine sprinkling of gold powder, decorated with a continuous serene scene of an oxherd (ushidoji) at rest, leaning against his large basket of flowers beside a recumbent ox shown on the other side, in gold, silver and black togidashi, the interior of nashiji with kinji edges, signed in seal form to one side Shiomi Masanari; with globular dark horn ojime. 7cm (2¾in).
