Embellished in gold and iroe-takamakie, aogai and hiramakie with the figure of Kwanyu, standing in front of a line hung with richly-decorated brocade cloth, gripping his halberd with one hand and his beard in the other, looking benevolently towards the two courtiers seeking his protection, seated on the reverse, enclosed within a sunken, circular cartouche, the interior of nashiji, signed Kajikawa saku with tsubo-shaped seal Ei; with green glass bead ojime. 7.7cm (3in) high.
