Painted in enamels and gilt on each face with a different figural scene, two depicting a winding procession depicting members from the Satsuma clan carrying a palanquin and other paraphernalia, separated by a family group outdoors at leisure during Autumn and a group of warriors receiving instruction before battle, all bordered by karakusa and geometric motifs, the shoulder decorated with millefleurs, signed with partly-effaced signature Kinkozan; cover missing.
