The ovoid body supported on three long shaped feet, finely painted in enamels and gilt with three large rectangular panels enclosing different scenes of numerous sightseers at teahouses and on a lakeshore enjoying the hanami season, another depicting several figures celebrating the New Year including itinerant musicians, children carrying kites and Manzai dancers, the third with a pair of ducks swimming beneath blooming Autumnal plants, the shoulder, sides and feet with densely-clustered overlapping brocade and foliate motifs; signed Ryozan with the Yasuda trade company mark. 30.6cm (12in) high.
