The first possibly depicting the Chinese warrior Kanyu, fixed to an oval stand, standing in a belligerent pose, one hand holding his beard, the other gripping a halberd, another sword tucked into his belt at the back, his robes decorated with kiku-mon, rain dragons and formal floral heads in gilt hirazogan, unsigned, 26.2cm (10¼in) high; the second a karako wearing a Korean costume, riding a toy hobby horse, 19.7cm (7¾in) high; both unsigned.
