In the form of two geese, nestled against each other, side by side, their heads turned in opposing directions, the perforated plumage of one detachable for the incense, unsigned; with wood storage box, the inside of the lid with a long inscription alleging that the incense burner belonged to Matsudaira Dewa no Kami Shosho Daien Fumai Daikoji (1751-1818), the Lord of Chidori castle in Kamedazan, Izumo province. 22½cm (8 7/8in).
