Three metal inro
19th century
The first of shibuichi, two cases, cast in relief with Jurojin and his deer, the reverse with Hotei sleeping over his sack, inscribed Noriyuki, 6cm (2 3/8in); with metal-filigree ojime; the second of silver, two cases, engraved to one side with a turtle in a stream and on the other with a stand of bamboo, unsigned, 6cm (2 3/8in); with a silver ojime and a kagamibuta, the ivory bowl with silver plate engraved with a wind-blown chrysanthemum, signed Toshimasa; the third a miniature single-case inro of shakudo, inlaid with floral medallions in gilt metal, unsigned, 2.8cm (1 1/8in).
