Kakejiku, mounted with a black and white woodblock print, depicting rows of forty standards (matoi), belonging to six differently-located groups of firefighters, used to warn townspeople of fires during the Edo period, signed Daiyonku gobangumi Nogami Naokichi kore wo tsukuru (Nogami Naokichi, member of group five in the fourth ward, made this), with cardboard storage box. 101cm x 53cm (39¾in x 20 7/8in).
