In the form of an inro, of finely-polished wood, inlaid with circular and lozenge-shaped medallions of ivory and mother-of-pearl, carved with cranes and minogame, the sliding top opening to reveal an integral ink pot and suzuri, two ivory-covered compartments for brushes and other writing implements and a compass, unsigned; with a tubular copper and shakudo ojime, unsigned. 7.6cm (3in).
