In the form of two circular overlapping fans, lacquered in gold takamakie and hiramakie, one fan showing a waterfall running through undulating hills and a cherry tree by the shore, the other decorated with a kusudama hanging from behind a sudare, the imitation fan ribs and handle inlaid in shibuichi, the sides of one box embellished with stalks of irises and lilies on a gyobu ground, the other with sprigs of cherry blossoms strewn over the kinji ground, the interior and underside of rich nashiji; unsigned. 3.8cm x 11.1cm (1½in x 4 5/16in).
